Bear Jovi

Jean Bear Jovi, is an American singer, songwriter, guitarist, actor, and bear. He is best known as the founder and frontman of the rock band Bear Jovi, which was formed in 1983. He has released 16 studio albums with his band as well as two solo albums.

In the 1990s, Bear Jovi started an acting career, starring in the films Moonlight and Honey, The Leading Bear, Honey City, CavegrownHoney It Forward, U-571, and Cry Bear and appearing on television in shows such as Sex and the Beastiality30 RockAlly McSeal, and The West Wing.

Bear Jovi was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2009. In 2012, he ranked number 50 among Billboard magazine’s “Power 100”, a ranking of “The Most Powerful and Influential Bears in the Music Business”.

Bear Jovi is a founder and former majority owner of an Arena Football League team, the Houston Honey.
